We always use this formula for calculation for rectangle/square shapes: 

Length(cm)*Width(cm)*Thickness(cm)*1,1= grams of resin.

(Density of the resin is 1.1 g/cm3)

For example, if you are a beginner and want to try resin, then you need 1 kilogram of resin for a 30x30 cm, with 1 cm thickness.

Artline Epoxy Resin is VOC-Free. We do not have approval certifying direct, long-term contact with food, however once epoxy is fully cured for 30 days, it is an inert plastic and should be fine for incidental exposure to food. It is not antimicrobial. Epoxy is not safe to ingest (liquid or cured). Do not cut on or prepare raw food on epoxy surfaces.

All the resins that we carry have different characteristics and serve different purposes. To know which is the ideal resin for your project, please refer to our resin comparison chart, which will give you a good overview of the different characteristics of each resin. Thick pour epoxy cures slowly so it won’t crack or shrink. It likes heat and cures via its own heat - created by mass - and the ambient air temp. 

We recommend following our instructions, since each type of resin has its own scheme of mixing and curing, and its own thickness recommendations. Please check our resin comparison chart.

Before you pour a thick deep pour, you can warm the epoxy jugs in hot tap water around 50-60 degrees. 

Mix thoroughly, not less than 4-5 minutes, then let mixture stay in the mixing jar to let the bubbles come out before pouring.

Our Epoxy Resins have the highest amount of UV inhibitors possible, however we do not recommend storing your epoxy resin products directly exposed to sunlight. Always take precautions to protect your epoxy table by covering it if it is outside.

All epoxy resin and hardener products differ in weight for Part A and Part B because of their viscosity and make-up. The correct and precise way to measure epoxy is always by weight, not volume. Always stick to certain Epoxy Resin Instructions and use scales.

No, we don't offer samples. This is because a small amount of our epoxy wouldn't give you an accurate indication of how well it would work on a project. Epoxy curing times and strength is highly dependent on the overall amount of epoxy you're using. We stand behind our product 100% and we are always happy to answer any questions about our epoxy and it's suitability for your project.

This is a very valid question and there is no set answer due to the numerous types of applications and variations.

For example:

Are you looking for an opaque or transparent look? Lighter colors may take more pigment to achieve the color.

This is why we recommend 3-6 grams per 1kg of resin for Pigment paste and 1-3 ml per 1 kg of epoxy resin for Transparent Colorant.

TROUBLESHOOTING

When working with resin, technique is very important to ensure outstanding results. Here are a few of the commonly encountered problems with using resin and suggestions for how to fix it.

1. Resin not mixed in the correct ratio of resin to hardener. Recheck instructions and measure both parts separately and accurately.

2. Resin and hardener not mixed thoroughly. While mixing, it is important to scrape the sides of mixing cups and stirring utensils during the process to make sure the mixture is well blended.

3. Non compatible resin and hardener used together. Use the resin and hardener that came together in the same kit. Using one brand’s hardener with another brand’s resin may keep the mixture from curing.

4. Hardener not added to resin. In order for the resin to cure, a hardener must be added.

5. Not enough time given for curing. All resins have different cure times, from minutes to hours to days. Check to be sure you are giving the resin enough time to cure.

6. Resin is not warm enough or the room in which the resin is being mixed is not warm enough. The resin and hardener, along with the room temperature, needs to be about 20 degrees Celsius. Warm the resin in a warm water bath in 5 minute increments if the resin bottles feel cool to the touch.

7. Resin or hardener is past its shelf life.

8. Resin is poured in a thin layer. Thin castings take longer to cure because the amount of heat produced is spread over a thinner area.

9. Too much moisture in the resin casting. Use color pigments designed for resin and use resin kits within their specified shelf life times. Also be sure all mixing containers and utensils are dry.

1. Improper resin to hardener ratio. Do not use more hardener or less resin than recommended. Having more catalyst than what is needed will cause the reaction to heat up quickly and cure faster than normal.

2. Resin and/or hardener are too warm. When the casting environment is warmer than 75 degrees, pot time is shortened. This also happens if the resin and/or hardener are warmed up too much in a water bath before use. 

3. The amount of resin and hardener mixed at one time is too large. The resin curing reaction is mass dependent; the more of each item, the more heat produced, the faster the mixture heats up and the faster curing takes place. Do not mix more than the maximum recommended mixing amount from the manufacturer.

1. Improper resin to hardener ratio. Use the exact amount of hardener recommended in order to start the chemical reaction which produces the heat to cause curing.2. The resin, hardener or the room is too cold. Be sure the room temperature is min 20 degrees and the components are warm.3. The volume of resin and hardener being mixed is too small.  Resins require a certain amount to be mixed in order for the curing reaction to occur. Be sure to mix the minimum recommended amount by the manufacturer.

1. Be careful when mixing the resin. The best way to make sure bubbles aren’t in your final casting is to avoid creating them when mixing the resin. Carefully and deliberately stir the resin and hardener when mixing, but do not whip or whisk it.2. The resin has reacted to something included in it or the inclusion released bubbles after being added to the resin. Make sure all inclusions are sealed with glue or clear tape before including in resin.3. Remove bubbles before allowing the casting to cure. Draw them out with a toothpick or use a heat gun to get bubbles to the surface or use the bubbles spray.

1. Resin and hardener were not mixed thoroughly enough. Be sure to mix completely, scraping the sides of the container and stir the utensil several times while mixing.2. Excess humidity when casting resins. Run a room dehumidifier during the next casting.3. Using the last bit of resin stuck to the side of your mixing cup when it wasn’t mixed thoroughly. When mixing the next batch, blend for 3 to 5  minutes in a mixing cup, then transfer to a new cup to mix for another one to two minutes.

1. Resin kit is past its expiration date.2. Resin kit has been improperly stored. Resin and hardener need to be stored in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and temperature swings.3. Resin was opened and used, but stored with a large, open space in the top of the bottle. Exposure to air will cause resin to oxidize and turn yellow. Purchase smaller quantities of resin that you can comfortably use within half the expected shelf life.PLease note, that yellow shade could be eliminated by adding 3-5 drops of blue liquid color pigment to the hardener right before mixing.

1. Resin components are cold. Warm the bottles in a warm water bath before using.

ORDER

Promotion and discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions and discounts unless stated otherwise.

This statement also means that promotions are not applicable to wholesale prices and offers.

If you have a promo code please enter it at the payment step of the checkout – it can’t be applied on an order that has already been placed.

If your order has already been processed, we won’t be able to change it.

If your order has not processed to ship yet and you want to cancel your order, there will be a 5% cancellation admin fee. Hence, we will only be able to refund 95% of the order amount.

Unfortunately we're unable to make any changes to the order that is already processed or shipped from our warehouse. 

You will be charged for delivery and return as it is paid directly to our transport and logistics partners. In this case 5% cancellation admin fee is also applied.

If you've placed an order and received a replacement offer from us, this means the product is out of stock when we processed your order and we contact you to offer similar items and excuse-us-discount. If you refuse the item's replacement, we 'll cancel your order, and you'll get a refund via the original payment method used. The 5% cancellation admin fee will not be applied in this case.

The refund may take up to 10 days - this is the banking process and not something we can speed up.

Got a confirmation email? Good news, it's on its way. You can track your order using your tracking number from this confirmation email. If you haven't got your confirmation email (don't forget to check the junk folder) your order is waiting to leave us. Once you have the confirmation email you can track it via the link in the email.

We will email your tracking information as soon as your order has shipped. Usually you will receive the tracking number one day after we have shipped your order.

If your order hasn’t arrived, please track your order first, it should be complete information. If there is no complete information or no movement for a long time, or you are waiting for the order for a long time, please contact us byemail or chat or whatsapp

The carrier has been unable to deliver your parcel to you (you may not have been in or they might not have been able to gain access to your property). If your tracking is showing as being returned to us you can wait for your parcel to come back and we will give you a refund when it does. A typical refund will take up to around 21 days, that’s time for the parcel to arrive back at our warehouse Iit depends on the transport company) and us processing with up to 7 days for it to make its way through the banking system.

If the carrier was unable to deliver this time it may be worth considering when you next order to use an alternative delivery address where you know someone will be able to receive the parcel or selecting an alternative delivery option at checkout e.g. time specific delivery or locker collection if offered in your delivery location.

PAYMENT

Please note: All payments must be made online when placing your order. We do not have the ability to place an order on your behalf.

When you reach the final billing page and submit your order, we will immediately contact your bank or card issuer for authorization to take payment from your account.

Yay for Apple Pay! You can now pay for your orders with Apple Pay using a Visa, Mastercard or American Express Card on all devices which support Apple Pay*.

How to Pay:

It’s simple! Make sure you have Apple Pay set up on your device. Then, all you need to do is add the items to your basket, choose your preferred delivery option and then when you reach checkout, select the Apple Pay option as your payment method.

Once you’re happy with your order tap the Touch ID**  or glance at your iPhone for Face ID and pay!

Once the order has successfully gone through you will then be sent an order confirmation email.

Please note, you won't be able to select Apple Pay if you've applied for a gift voucher. 

*If you are using Apple Pay on a Mac device, this payment option will only be available on Safari whilst using the Mac OS Sierra operating system.

**If you have a Mac with Touch Bar, you will be able to verify your payment using the Touch ID sensor on your MacBook Pro keyboard. If not, you will need to make sure your phone or Apple watch is nearby in order to verify them remotely.

Your payment is secure. We use the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Most order payments will be processed and authorized within 48 hours.

Payment failure can happen for multiple reasons. Our payment processor does not share the complete details with us for security reasons. When your payment fails, check if the entered details are correct. In other cases, please contact the card issuer or bank for details on reasons for payment being declined and for a quick resolution. Or use alternative provided payment methods.

DELIVERIES AND SHIPMENT

If you place the order before 2 pm, your order will be fulfilled and dispatched on the next business day.

If you place the order after 2 pm, your order will be fulfilled in a day.

Once your order has been collected, it will be dispatched on the next business day, if the order doesn't consist of any out of stock items and does not require any additional adjustments.

You will have the option to choose the type of delivery service during checkout: standard or express.

Delivery details and tracking number will be provided in your confirmation email.

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. Our warehouse chooses courier service itself, depending on the shipping address. But you'll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout (standard or express).

Currently we ship within the European Union (EU). But we will be happy to ship all over the world very soon!

Currently we do not offer free delivery

Yes. You will have the option to select "Pick Up" at checkout. Please be mindful of our hours:

8 am - 15 pm, orders may be collected in person at the storage facility in Slovenia (Ljubljanska 81, 1230 Domžale)

RETURNS

If you are not happy with your purchase and wish to return an item, please contact us by email or chat or whatsapp within 28 days from receiving your order. Please provide your order number as well as the reason for your return. No return is allowed in principle without quality problems.

We always aim to make sure our customers love our products. We'll accept all unused, unopened, and in it’s original packaging.

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

You also will be charged a 5% administrative fee.

If you are shipping an item over 50 Euros, we strongly recommend that you use a trackable method and/or shipping insurance to mail your return.

If the item in your order is defective or damaged we offer to replace it. To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. In order to proceed with the exchange procedure, within 3 days from receiving, please send us an email with a short description, we would kindly appreciate attaching a photo or video as well.

As soon as we get the email with all details - we will be able to refund or exchange.

You have 28 days to send something back to us from the day you receive it. Please check Can I return my product? section before sending the product back.

For returns you will need to pay for your return, it will be deducted from your refund amount. Please use a trackable service and keep your proof of postage receipt until after your refund is processed.

On receiving your return the next step is for us to check the item(s). Once our checks are complete we’ll refund back to your payment method. The funds should appear on your bank statement in up to 14 working days (how long depends on your card issuer).

We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop and send you an email as soon as your parcel arrives back at our warehouse, and again when we have processed your refund.

REFUNDS

A typical refund will take up to 30 days from the moment the goods are received by the warehouse, with up to 14 days for it to make its way through the banking system.

All returns are quality checked – items should be returned in a new and unused condition with labels attached and, wherever possible, sent back in the original packaging. Refunds will not be given if they do not comply with our returns policy.
