🔷How To Get Resin Out Of A Mold?🔷
💟Here are some tricks how to get resin out of mold💟:
1. Apply Mold Release Agent BEFORE you plan to fill the mold with resin. Always use an epoxy release spray/wax/lacquer/conditioner in your molds, as you do not want your epoxy resin to stick to your mold.
2. Try some soap and water. This is the best-case scenario when you need a little help to demold resin. Just add a bit of a soapy water to the mold, squish it around and squeeze a resin. This makes the resin slippery and easier to release from the mold.
3. Put the mold in a hot water bath for 5-10 minutes. As the silicone expanded in the heat it will be easy to release the resin.
4. Put the mold in the freezer for 10-20 minutes. Remove the mold and try to demold one more time. It should help with getting the pieces out.
5. Use a heat gun on a low setting around the part that is stuck, heat around the outside of the mold too. Gently pull and heat at the same time until it’s free. Be careful, don't setthe temperature too high!
6. Use putty knife or a flat head screwdriver. The blade of a putty knife allows it to bend to the contours of the mold, enabling you to scrape away any resin stuck in corners. It’s important to move slowly and carefully to avoid chipping.
